K-12 Program> Grades 6-12 Course Reviews

Quality Matters promotes a peer review process and provides a database of trained QM G6-12 Peer Reviewers eligible for assignment to a peer review team. Any subscribing institution may conduct its own internal or informal reviews or contract with Quality Matters to conduct an official review. Courses that successfully meet the QM rubric standards in an official course review are eligible for QM recognition and may carry the QM certification mark.

Peer Reviewer Teams:
Quality Matters Grades 6-12 course reviews are conducted by two-member review teams.  Both experienced teachers and instructional designers will be eligible to serve as reviewers for Grades 6 – 12 courses. At least one member of the team must have online teaching experience.  Both members of the team must agree for a standard to be considered as “met.”  Two-member teams reduce the cost of Grades 6-12 formal reviews as compared with QM college level course reviews, which use three reviewers.
