Call for Nominations for the QM Conference Awards is now CLOSED.
About the Award
The mission of the Quality Matters Program is to promote and improve the quality of online education to support student learning. This award recognizes the individuals or groups that exemplify QM’s focus on student learning through the implementation of QM standards, practices and processes that have demonstrated impact on student success. The implementation should be either broadly transformative in impacting the general student experience in online courses or significantly and directly meaningful for a specific subset of students. Evidence of success – statistical and/or anecdotal – should clearly demonstrate positive outcomes for students.
Call for Nominations
Deadline for Nominations: Extended to Friday October 7!
Awards made at 2011 3rd Annual QM Conference November 7-9, 2011.
1. GENERAL INFORMATION - All nominations must include the following information: (1) complete contact information for organization or individual nominated (e.g., name, title, organization, address, phone, e-mail); (2) contact name and information for individual submitting the nomination; and 3) endorsement/counter signature by a senior institutional officer (e.g. president, provost, dean). Self-nominations will be accepted with endorsement.
2. ELIGIBILITY - Nominees for the award must be employed by a Quality Matters subscribing institution or be individual subscribers of Quality Matters. While multiple nominees may be selected for recognition, the committee will review only one nomination per institution.
The nomination should include the following supporting documentation:
- A narrative describing how the initiative was conceived, supported, and implemented.
- An outline of the purpose, time frame, and the groups or individuals involved.
- Evidence of impact
- An indication of how the initiative will be sustained and/or expanded.
- Endorsement/counter signature by a senior institutional officer (e.g. president, provost, dean).
Award Criteria:
Sustainability of the initiative: The nominee has described how the initiative is being maintained and/or enhanced for continued impact on student outcomes.
Evidence of Impact: The nominee has provided evidence on how the initiative has impacted student outcomes or the student experience in online/blended courses.
Significance of Impact for Students: The nominee has demonstrated the significance of the achievements for students.
