This workshop introduces participants to a variety of media-based tools that can be used in online and blended courses. The workshop pays special attention to aligning the tools with course goals and objectives. In other words, course learning objectives determine the use of media-based tools. The content is based on Standard 6 of the Quality Matters Rubric that states: Course navigation and the technology employed in the course foster student engagement and ensure access to instructional materials and resources. It is intended for a broad audience, including but not limited to faculty, instructional designers, administrators, and adjunct instructors who wish to understand more about the effective use of media-based tools.
